Bad First Date Ideas

1:47 pm Monday, 8th July, 2013

Do you think you can distinguish a great first date from a bad one? A first date is crucial and you want to be able to give a great impression and communicate with your date properly however there are some places that can make it difficult. Check out these top bad first date ideas.

The Movies

It’s very difficult to talk with your date due to it being so dark and loud, really this is a mid-relationship place to date, not a first timer.

Family Gatherings

You may think that your family is ace, and they probably are, however in terms of first dates this could get awkward. The pressure is bad enough going on a first date and impressing their date let alone their family too. Again, this is definitely a mid-relationship date decision, despite the fact you have the coolest family on earth.

Hanging Out with Friends

In a similar scenario to family gatherings, spending your first date with friends is also another bad first date idea. The pressure, and imagine if one of your friends or your date decided not to get along, awkward.

A Nightclub

A nightclub can be a really loud place and not a great setting for a first date so best stay away from this one. Unless you both move like the stars in the film Step-Up, in which case, carry on.

At Home

It’s never safe to invite your first date around to your house for obvious reasons. The biggest difficulty with this scenario is that your date might go badly. For one it could get difficult getting rid of them and secondly, they know where you live! Not worth the risk.

If you have managed to choose any of these bad first date ideas then reconsidering is always an option. Making an impression and being able to communicate properly with your date is essential in order to make it to the second one.
