Wife Swapping Etiquette

11:20 am Thursday, 13th June, 2013

The lifestyle known as swinging or wife swap has a very strong etiquette that swinging couples and individuals should remember in order to enjoy their next party. Learn the rules here.

Wife swapping was traditionally an adult activity that only couples took part in. As time went on single swingers also started to enjoy the wife swap lifestyle. While most couples respect the swinging rules that goes with this activity, many singles, especially males, tend to bend the rules a bit. Use the following rules as a guide to your next swinging adventure.

Rule 1
Always choose the right partner to accompany you to a swingers party. If you are single and you need a partner to take along, then use our personal ads or advanced search feature to hook up with someone rather than just take a ticket along. (A ticket is someone who just uses you to get into the swingers party and then drops you at the entrance). You and your partner are expected to be together at the swingers party, and also to leave the party together.

Rule 2
Don’t be Rude. Not everybody at a wife swap evening is going to have sex with you and never take it personally when they say no, just move on and avoid asking them why - the answer might offend you and there is no point getting upset. Likewise, if somebody comes on to you and you’re not interested, a polite no thank you will do . If the person keeps bothering you then go straight to the hostess.

Rule 3
When swinging as a couple, the women usually takes care of bringing essential things like deodorant, condoms, and wet wipes to the wife swap evening. It is left to the single male to bring enough condoms and a clean set of clothes to a swingers party.

Rule 4
If your partner goes then so do you. As the rules go, you’re not allowed to stay alone so if one of you have had enough then the other must leave.

Rule 5
Don’t be late. If you’re going to be late then you must inform the host otherwise you can risk not being invited or let in. The problem is that the party could be in full swing and it can get awkward for you and the other people if you walk in mid-way.

Overall it’s about practicing good manners. Being late, rude or obnoxious is guaranteed to land you and your partner out of the party. The main focus of a swinging party though is to have fun, provided you have your manners in place then you can expect a warm and welcoming response from other couples.
