With the recent revelations around the modelling industry, a deeper understanding of the wizardry of photoshop and social media movements aimed at body positivity there has been a groundswell of support and appreciation for the fuller figure.
Looking back at any paintings from the romantic eras it is clear to see that a voluptuous figure was seen as something to be desired and attained. From curvy hips to full breasts there was nothing waif-like about these goddesses.
This is also not limited only to women; men feel it too. While most will raise a shield of bravado, choosing to talk about how their belly is just the machine that drives their “enormous dick” the reality is that those feelings of not measuring up are just as real.
Body Positivity Icons
The reach of the internet means that you are only a click away from connecting with a number of sex symbols and social media influencers who are leading the charge for body positivity and acceptance.
Here are 5 social media influencers leading the body positivity charge:

Unleash Your Sexy Side
Appreciation for the lust-inducing curves of the fuller figure is not limited to the oil paintings of a bygone era. There are many men and women who would love nothing more than indulge you and satisfy your needs.
- Don’t Be Shy – Your partner already knows how big your ass is and that you have thicc thighs, don’t be shy to bend over or get into positions that are comfortable for you. This is who you are, own it, love, explore it.
- Keep The Lights On – Don’t hide in the dark, it’s not romantic it's disorientating. Now we’re not suggesting bright white surgical light, but mood lighting is always a winner, perhaps a red cover for the lamp or even candles. Let yourself be seen.
- Food Play – If you’re looking to combine your love of food with your love of sex why not give Feedism a try? This generally consists of a feeder & feedee duo and can be explored in light ways by introducing various snacks and foods into your bedroom romps. Be sure to clarify if your partner is okay with this first, don’t assume that because they’re large that they’re automatically into this form of play.
- Bare Bears – If you’re a large hairy male who is attracted to the person and not their pronouns there is a world of opportunity out there in the LGBTQ+ community. Bears and bear lovers are a tight-knit community who even have their own paw-stamped flag and annual events.
Just Say Fuck It
If you find yourself in a position where your work environment, friends or even partner make you feel inadequate because you are heavier than they think is “ideal”, just say “Fuck It”.
You are who you are, and your power, beauty and value don’t lie in the measurements of a bathroom scale or in the opinions of others.
