Hi everyone! First blog from me

1:53 am Sunday, 22nd March, 2020

Tēnā koutou to anyone who might be reading this.

I plan to use this blog to post my thoughts on sex and dating, write about my sexual adventures (let's be honest though: it's mostly masturbating) and probably some other stuff, too.

First thing's first though, who am I?

I'm 35 and live in Hastings. I've always been bisexual, although I didn't know that I was until I was in my 20s, because I didn't know that it existed until then. Up until that point, I had assumed that everyone was attracted to all kinds of people, no matter their gender, but that girls got together with boys and vice versa, just because that was the way things were done.

Even after I discovered that homosexuality was a thing, I didn't realise that I didn't have to choose between being straight and gay. I still assumed that everyone was attracted to all genders, but called themselves gay or straight depending on where they fell on the continuum I had in my mind. I thought I was 60% straight and 40% lesbian. So I called myself straight and only dated guys.

Eventually I realised that not everyone was "at least a little bit gay" or "a little bit straight", and that I was not straight or gay. I'm bi. Or rather, pan. Gender really doesn't matter to me, and it still confuses me that it matters SO MUCH to some people.

Anyway, now in my mid-30s, I'm finally coming out to people. As I said, gender doesn't matter to me, but there are a lot of things that do. Like respect, and consent. Correct grammar. Honesty.

I'll go into some of these things in more detail at a later date. Until then, enjoy yourselves.

Well said! You summed things up so well and I'm really happy you're sharing these thoughts as the simplicity of it all (although in searching we can complicate things ourselves) may just be what someone needs to hear. I hope you're having a great night x
