Any tips for newbies?

Been on this site now for a few weeks. We are a genuine couple trying to find like minded people. I think this site is a great idea it's just a shame there are so many fakes. Is anybody else finding hard to talk to real genuine people? Don't get us wrong we have spoken to a few genuine people it's just the fakes flood in over the top of the real ones. Would like to know if any other newbies experience the same thing. And what tips other couples or singles could give us to help us on our journey. We have never done this before and we are really excited and a bit nervous at the same time. But keen to start our new chapter in our lives.
