I rented a hotel room last week specifically for a meet but the guy then cancelled so I used the time to take yet more pictures of myself. Growing a bit fed up, I decided to go for a walk as Julie. I went out to my car, passing nobody at all on the way, walked around for a few moments (boy, it was cold outside) and then went back in. The reception was still empty so I took a couple of selfies there. A lady then came to the desk and greeted me, so I explained that I was going back to my room. She said she liked my dress, so that was good. I did pass a couple of cleaners on my way back but they didn't want to talk.
I am more confident in public now as Julie. I had no problem saying a few words to these people, which I would never have done a year ago. Progress!
