I have always been able to avoid pitfalls in life by learning from others' mistakes. It amazes me how many people keep failing in life and ignore the lessons those around them have learned and passed on. Some have said to me it is better to have the experience of broken relationships and these hard lessons. Wrong. In most cases it is not. The years have shown me this is usually said by people who inflict themselves on those closest to them and when the free will of individuals pushes back they try to rationalize their flummery.
