I think I have evolved or maybe I'm going soft in the head. I've liked cooking for years and decided to invite a special lady to dinner and wanted to cook something special so that she would want to show her appreciation:-) I realised it would need to be something that wouldn't make the house smell like a chippy and I didn't want her to be sitting on her own while I did the kitchen thing. That was the hardest part - timing! Fortunately she enjoys listening to classical Italian music, so I had Andrea Bocelli and iL Volo playing in the background. I don't understand Italian but know its the language of passion and emotion.
Starters was cantaloupe melon sliced and arranged in an appealing fashion on the plate along with strawberries arranged to complement and topped off by strawberry jam juice. That was a hit, she loved it along with the choice of Martini Asti - nice n light, refreshing and bubbly.
Main was sirloin steak, sautéed mushrooms, peas and roast spuds and to follow through with the colour I also roasted some sweet potatoes. That was hit but I couldn't avoid leaving her for a few minutes while I did the steaks.
The desert was the masterpiece. I learnt that day how to make chocolate fondue (easier than I thought). plain choc, fresh cream, butter and strawberries, satsumas and banana to dip in it. She was putty in my hands now and we ended up taking the desert to bed where she showed her appreciation big style :-)
Great sex and mutual pleasure starts well before getting to the bedroom doesn't it!
I suppose the only downside was having to get up in the morning to do the washing up, worth it though!
