I have just spent 24 hours as Julie on a trip to France and it was fantastic. As I had spent only an hour or so in public previously, I changed in Julie and then started slowly by walking around a motorway service area, close to my car. I then grew bolder and spent some time beside a road and near a tourist attraction. Checking into the hotel was scary but no problem (in the name of Julie Salope, for the French scholars out there, to the amusement of Madame on reception). I then went to a busy supermarket/commercial centre and walked around for 30 minutes, buying a couple of items. I saw several people taking pictures of me, which was fun. I wanted some selfies so drove to what I thought was a quiet spot. After taking a few, a police car drew up and I was told to move on for being 'too visible'! What did they think I was doing?!
