Responding to messages

I understand exactly what you say and share the frustration that you have, but having once had a couples profile with a FB (now sadly retired) on here, I can vouch that we got dozens and dozens of messages each day and it took up all the free time available just reading let alone answering them all!

In the end, it just got easier to delete without reading them, especially the ones that just plainly didn't match up to what we wanted or had very obviously not read our profile......

The only answer I think is to read the profiles thoroughly and only send mails to those that would be genuinely interested in what you have - and to try to make your messages stand out from the also-rans. It works for me at least..... ;-)

Suprisingly, it really does. Most of the messages were from people who weren't suitable or just hadn't bothered reading our profile to see just what it was that we wanted.

I know that it only takes a minute to open, read and hit the TBNT button but multiply that by 30 and you're there for half an hour just rejecting messages from people who (in the main) shouldn't have sent them in the first place......

A well written message from someone who had read the profile and fitted in to what we wanted was few and far between and in the end you get so bogged down that it came down to whether or not the message 'header' looked interesting or not.

A sad state, yes, but most of those messages should never have been sent in the first place.

just out of interest, when you log on as your female profile (PushIt), how long does it take you to sort the men from the boys?
