Hello all. This is our first post on this blog, so it would only make sense that we introduce ourselves to this community. We joined as recently as this year, and we harbor no high expectations from others. But still — if just a 1% of members actually read this, we’ll take it!
We are a mixed Asian-Caucasian couple, and — as is pretty much the norm, my wife is the Asian and I am the Caucasian. We do have a wide age gap, if you consider 18 years of age difference to be one. In ancient times this would have been the norm, but we don’t live in ancient Egypt or China. On the other hand, this makes us explore the differences between our generations, and that’s a good thing!I am from Miami (born in Germany), and she is a local Beijing hottie. We have a small one at home, and she means the world to both of us. She also means we don’t play so often. Quality over quantity!We play between five and ten times a year, and I really don’t know if that makes us rookies, average, or pros, but — hey, you decide! We are by no means new at it, and we tried everything. Like Shakira says in her song, “I’ll try everything, even though I could fall!”Yes. We play hard when we play, and we welcome new ideas, positions, and experiences. We cherish character over smarts, and we think manners are more important that your college degree, or your social status. A few things do turn my wife off (like when the guy sends way too many pictures of himself, taken at obviously world-famous spots), but otherwise we are quite easygoing.
