Is it some kind of cosmic joke? So far this month I've been given the brush off nine times! I started this week with five men supposedly interested in getting to know me. That number is now down to one. I vehemently hope that he is Him because I really don't know how much more of this I can take. Today, for instance, I've had a guy e-mailing all day saying how much he's looking forward to meeting me tonight and lo and behold he cancels at the last minute; just as I knew he would. I'm sick of it and I really am wondering if the gods are having a big laugh at my expense. What am I doing wrong? Why do so many arseholes contact me, lead me on and then bail out just as I'm getting interested?!? Am I really so repugnant?
