Want my (or any woman's) attention here? Then read this.

I get all sorts of hook-up messages on my profile page. I don't mind that; in fact, I enjoy reading them and learning about why they chose to message me.

What I do mind are those that are blatantly rude or vulgar ("Yo, babe, you down to fuck?" or "Hey, gimme your digits and let's fuck!" or "Hey Marilyn, open your legs and lemme taste that pussy!")

Excuse me, I may have said that I'm into hook-ups, but at least have some manners to say hello first and introduce yourself properly. Don't be such a Neanderthal!

First impressions definitely last, so if the first thing you show me (or any woman poster here) is crass language, then my impression of you will definitely turn south and I won't even bother to give you a reply. So basic courtesy and good manners go a long way to attracting attention.

You can post your photo as a profile pic or use an avatar. I sometimes gloss over those who use an avatar as a profile pic or those whose profile page hardly has anything on it. Like, how do you expect to attract attention if you won't even bother to put up an interesting page?? If I get a message from someone with an actual pic and he looks and talks fine, of course, I will get curious and will probably check out his profile page too. If I like what I see, then I will most likely send a message back or invite him to chat.

Now, if we get past first impressions and are now heading into possible meet-up territory, it's still important to get to know each other better. Even if I'm into hook-ups, I still need to feel comfortable with the guy, as well as to set ground rules for when we do actually meet up. That's why I take time to chat with him and exchange pics so that expectations are set properly.

Also, because I am such a stickler for good communication, I want to make sure that he has something substantial between his ears (something substantial between his legs is of second importance, hehehe) so that we can have decent conversations, whether in between rounds of surprisingly mindblowing sex, or at the very least, even if the sex wasn't that good (hey, it happens!) .
