Pick up truck and what to do when you have a blow-out...

10:16 pm Wednesday, 9th May, 2018

I sustained a flat tyre on my car a few days ago and was on my way to a dinner party in Trudy Mode. Damn!. I began the process of changing the wheel in a mini dress and high heels on the Federal Highway, just outside of Canberra.
Bending with caution so as to vainly try and conceal my stocking tops from then passing trucks was somewhat futile as each one seemed to think it necessary to hoot and some even hollah from the window some filthy statement, some I caught others I ignored. The ones I did pick up were quite horn inducing in of themselves (pun intended!): "How much?" said quite a few in the blare of noise as they passed by.
I managed to remove the wheel nuts and as I was about to remove the flat, I heard a truck pull in to the lay by and then foot steps.
I pass as a TS, but I do always hold a little fear in odd situations that someone might pick up a masculine inflection or some other signal and I might be up for a beating- It has happened, strongly enough, on the Federal Highway near Lake George. Anyway, this tall heavy set guy offered to assist me and I say yes. Why not, my long nails were making it difficult to manipulate the tools. He took over and accomplished the task in a few minutes and when so far as to tidy my flat tyre into the boot, pack my tools away and smile all the time.
What happened next was not quite what I expected...Stay tuned
