How do you know that the person you are talking to or about to meet is indeed what they say they are?
They say, you gotta see it to believe it, but in today’s day and age you cannot simply trust even your eyes. Be it, cam confirmation, voice call, group chat or even a physical meetup, people have derived several cunning ways to trick the other people. Almost all of these tricksters are single males with sad personalities and even sadder sex lives who come up with such ideas. Recently, a couple we met told us an interesting story; they went to meet who they believed was a couple, but found only a guy sitting at the spot. The guy said that the wife had to drop the plans at the right moment and he couldn’t convey the message for ABCD…XYZ reasons. And as the proof, the guy had brought his wedding album with him. Imagine, you are sitting with your wife at a restaurant and this guy is showing you his wedding pictures to prove that he indeed has a wife.
Cam confirmations are another ballgame altogether. Almost every video calling app can play a pre-recorded video instead of the real feed from the camera. People trick couples into thinking that they are video calling with another couple, and then record and use the video session to upload on various porn sites. The best way to find out if you are being tricked is to interact with the couple on the screen. Almost all of the fakes will tell you that their microphone is broken and so you need to use the chat to communicate with them. Chances are, if somebody’s microphone is busted, they are fake. That is one reason we did away with cam confirmations altogether.
And now we come to the most debated topic, exchanging pictures. We have met both kind of couples; couples who have no problem in sharing their real (normal) pictures with their faces visible, and the couples who are not comfortable with it.
In our opinion, a regular family friendly picture (with nothing racy or steamy) with your face cannot do any harm. “But what if they photoshop your faces over a nude picture?” — Well then they can take your picture from f@ceb00k, or !nst@gr@m. Yes, photoshop can turn you into a pornstar, or even the a dragon, but that can happen anywhere. If somebody is going to cut/paste my head from one of my photos, they dont have to ask for my pictures. But that is not the point here. The point is, how do you know that the photos you get from the other user are actually theirs?
Honestly, there is no telling, but the safest way to do is to ask for more than two or three pictures. By doing this you reduce the risk of being catfished, but your chances of coming out as pushy increase by folds.
In conclusion, no process is foolproof or completely safe. But thats what this lifestyle is all about — excitement. Yes, we have to stay safe, but swinging comes with its risk, and especially in a country like India.
Please share your experiences or processes that you follow to screen fake accounts.

Well said my friend. We have seen this lifestyle for sometime and have had various experiences .We understand that indian society is coming out at very fast pace and people are not able to handle the changes in society. Some people who cant except the change easily are trying to cope up with the situation. Some who can not move along try to harm others. From those people we have to be careful and should treat safely and cautiously . |
