How long does it take first timers to arrange a meet!?

So after being on the site for 4 months chatting with people and making loads of friends we've decided to finally arrange our first meet as a present for each other for our 6th Wedding Anniversary.
 We've started messaging people who we both agree are attractive to us and we are hoping they will agree to meet and give us an Anniversary to remember.
We wanted to get to know people we were going to meet before the actual meet as where a one night stand would be fine we would rather gain permanent friends for regular meets but we seemed to have failed at this (possibly down to our nervousness).
People who contacted us as soon as we joined the site at the time seemed so pushy and eager to meet which kind of scared us off at first but now we can totally relate to them.
With so many people on here just to chat or collect pics when you find someone who shows a slight interest in meeting you jump on them. Which as we have decided to arrange a meet we've found ourselves doing and worry that it's now us scaring people off by being too eager.
Hopefully our Anniversary meet ups will go ahead, we will update in one months time.
