A very English affair

Cold.The air thin. Breath expelled in wisps of visible white. I waited in the street near to our tree. A view of your house yet hidden from the street and the Christmas shoppers hurrying by laden with last minute purchases.
Three minutes since my last text and seven since my first.
You are a complete stranger to me.
I found you hidden amongst the hundreds of others - a match for every twisted need and desire I possessed. You initial responses were tentative as expected. You'd played and been played before. Flattery was the feeblest form of currency there but even then you recognised we were 'alike'. What a weak word. We were 'identical'.
We shared a handful of unnecessary messages and then you told me to surprise you.
That if I was what what I said I was had to deliver. And I gave you ten minutes to come to me.Your instructions were clear - dress-code, tell him, walk to me.
I never doubted you would but still the sight of you opening your door and heading toward me made my heart skipped and my body throbbed.
You and I wanted this madness more than anything else and it was time to take that step...
