The Ever Increasing Reality of Mortality

Is that the correct title for this blog....I'm not sure.

Another male in midlife crisis may be more appropriate.  After spending a little time away from this site and then trying another similar site, I'll not name which one but it's more a site for people looking to date one to one, I came to the conclusion that it was maybe worth giving this site a second look.

It's that time of year again when depression is at it's height and bedroom fun seems to be in it's trough, another year has passed, a new year begun and we're all that bit older but not necessarily wiser. The longing for simpler more care free times has returned and my thoughts return to long past memories of living for the weekend care free clubbing till the early hours and (if I was very, very lucky) care free shagging well into the next day.

As each year passes these times slip that little bit further away into the mist of my memories.  Would I like to be back there now.....'fuck yes' is my initial reflex but then the shadow of reality creeps in to dim the rose tint of my spectacles.  Maybe, for a night or two, the euphoria would be just as I remember but I'm pretty sure it would wane at a rapid rate, as care free as it seems in my fondest recollections I also seem to remember it was bloody hard work making sure the weekend went to plan.  I'll stick with my personal reminiscing, the tunes take me back from time to time like a rapid rewind of the memory banks, a flashback to the best times of my life.

I would however happily welcome spending Sunday's in bed shagging back to my weekly calendar.........the good old days!
