Airports – don’t you just love them? There was a time when airports were the special reserve of people who could afford ridiculously high ticket prices and with the odd exception this kept the general public out of them! Nowadays of course there is a direct correlation between ticket prices and the class of travellers – I am writing this in a sea of spilled chips and coke, surrounded by screaming children and a lot of Nylon football shirts in Newcastle airport – ugh – I shall wipe my feet when I leave the building! Call me a snob – yep – guilty, roll on end of summer holidays, and thank goodness for the executive lounge!
