Well what a day we had, good things, interesting things and not so good things!
In a nutshell we did enjoy the day, with lots of shopping for new toys including an under bed restraint system etc ('A' even got his nipples pierced!!!) lots of equipment to aim for in the future, and lots of interesting people/things to see. We even bumped into our friends and club members D & S in the middle of the day, and had a lovely time with them discussing our strategies for covering the vast shopping area!
One of our favourite people was the crazy singing Nun, on a piano shaped vehicle all in PVC trundling around the arena, and looking like something out of a monty python movie!!!!!
One of our LEAST favourites, being told that we had to pay £1.50 each for the privelidge of enjoying a cigarette and then being treated like a second class citizen all along the way :(((
Due to this last point, we may not go back next year, yes part of the money taken was going to a 'charity' (name not revealed) but the rest went to the promoters, something that we felt was disgusting, especially in light of the fact that there was nothing to shelter the smokers from the elements, in fact the only bit of shelter being a covered set of outdoor stairs was 'off limits' and purely for going to the 'smoking area' (a small fenced off area that had 2 large ashtrays!!!!! pretty poor when you consider the thousands that were there).
We hope that you enjoyed your time there, we did to a degree but as a one off :( perhaps the organisers will take a look at the way they treated their 'leper' friends who had already paid £25 for the entry and were then 'ordered' to pay another £1.50 or not be allowed back in after having their 3 minutes of a rather cold and damp drag on a cigarette!
