Well, to put it in simple terms, this my share of observations after being with a few couples for steamy and enriching sessions. Be it a cup of coffee, or sharing a couch or cuddling or laughing about the encounter to actual act on the bed. There is always observations that can be made. Please note am using the word 'observation' not 'judgement'. Judgement is for thug life, low life people who themselves are tired of judgement. Here's what I could observe with my limited experience.
1) It is liberating to see the opened that couples have between them and are also ready to be open to others. Sex is not a crime, desires ought to be fulfilled. Like craving for a drink... Husbands have become more welcoming, not afraid, fewer egos. This is liberating. Wives,being open with their desires, escalating it to the heights of a participative husband, jumping together on the bed. What's liberating is when the hold the hand while the "other" one goes through the act. 2) Body shaming-people are moving beyond it. Creed, age and body barriers are breaking. Being nude infront of the mirror, ogling continuously at yourself , chatting that why my curves are like this is now so passe. People naked in a room, all being comfortable with one thing in mind, " fulfill my desires". The stares are now the applause, not just drop the towel/gown. 3) Setting boundaries is crucial. when planning their own threesome, people need to talk about their comforts and insecurities long before going to bed. People ma****ve things they're fine with doing and other things that are totally off the table. A big part of the entire experience is the build-up and the wooing of another partner. This is where the choice of outside matters. 4)Not all bisexuals want to have sex with a straight couple. Being into both genders doesn't mean one wants a threesome.
