So I finally did it. I'd wanted a tattoo for years now; but was always wary of wary getting one for the sake of it. After we lost Dad almost four years ago now, there was talk of everyone getting a memorial tat done, but there was no agreement as to what it should be. Few years down the line and my mother and brother decide they know what they are getting and went ahead. It was a nice design; slight variations but over all the same design. They chose two intertwined infinity symbols; representing the sentiment "forever on my mind, forever in my heart."
And after several months I took the plunge. Again; it's the same basic design, but my placement and size differ and is shaded where theirs is solid colour. But it looks good. Healed really well quickly. And I am contemplating getting my second.... An Omega. I'm thinking top left of my chest where it meets the shoulder. There's meaning there too; but few people will get it.
