Do you polish your mirrors before your moments of fun?
Do you use mirrors when entertaining?
Do mirrors put you off, or improve your fun?
Do you think you’re a mirror addict?
Do you have to clean your mirrors afterwards?
No I’m not being nosy ….. well maybe slightly but I am curious about what others may say.
I had a lovely liaison and had never considered the benefits of mirrors until I caught a glimpse of us in one. Both of us in the early stage of getting to know each other, we were stood in front of a mirror and I caught glimpses of our initial closeness which attracted my attention as I could see the activity which were giving me those lovely sensations. For me it heightened the pleasure to the extent I started to use the reflected images to assist with the sensuality and nature our actions.
We stood and played for a lot longer. My partner realised I was watching plus playing to the reflection and the reaction was very positive. Needless to say it was a very satisfying and rewarding meeting and experience which I will not go into the detail of but, for both of us the mirrors added greatly to the pleasure.
I for one will be more than happy to use mirrors again with friends and I am curious what others may have found from their own experiences. That’s not an open invite for puerile responses, so please don’t post those.
I found the combination of the physical activities and the visual aspect stimulating, it heightened and improved sensual awareness and made for a far more rewarding time.
…………
(This is likely to be my last blog given the level of sensible quality bog posts and responses have been suffering here and the effort and time expended may be better used polishing the mirror ;-) … unless things improve of course)

I'm at an age now where I tend to avoid mirrors, especially ones that force me to look closely at my face :-) However, I find a full-length one useful for keeping tabs on whether I'm getting noticably out of shape. It's not vanity (how could it be?? lol) - it's for health reasons. I don't think I suffer from dysmorphia. I have a pretty realistic idea of what I ought to look like, and if I see I'm not keeping within those parameters, then it's a signal for me to return to the gym or stop the booze for a bit.

Angelici: Although I'm ignorant of the physics behind the youthful mirror illusion, I suspect it can probably be reproduced by appropriate lighting. No need for mail order. One example, as I'm sure you know, is those mirrors in actors' dressing rooms with light bulbs arranged around the perimeter. They illuminate the face full-on, thus banishing pasty shadows and wrinkles. I think my Dorian Gray mirror illuminates from the top, which is fatal if you want to feel good about yourself :-)

I'm not a huge mirror fan..even when I was younger and less self conscious, they seem to put me 'back in the room' as it we're, and I'd rather stay lost in the moments, if that makes sense. |
