Having been an extra in films,I can tell you that the interminable hanging around was boring in the extreme. and the only compensation was the money I made.
Was I fucked ? Yes, in the final edited version I was on screen for about 10 seconds being machine gunned and you can't even tell it's me as I was wearing a Wehrmacht greatcoat and a coal scuttle helmet ,
