So its been 90 days, and we certainly have a few new thoughts and insights.
The lifestyle here in the Philippines is just inherently different than in the USA. We have found that the both the cultural and language differences play a huge role in it. Don't get us wrong, the end results are similar, but getting from point A to point B is very different.
The biggest hurdle we have found is simply basic communication and follow through. Almost 99 percent of the contacts we have made were simple one line requests. When we think we may be interested we ask them politely to tell us a bit about themself, ask them if they have read our profile in full ( our profile is very complete ). The conversation usually ends right there. We have made the assumption (since they contacted us first) that they just have poor communication skills or poor english language skills. It seems that sending more than their phone number is a challenge.
The second hurdle we have seen is the large number of fake profiles. We understand that Admin can only do so much, and we appreciate their efforts. However its obvious after chatting when a couple is really not a couple. Or when a single is really of a different gender
Finally we will say this. There are some very wonderful and nice people here. Some who are truly intent on exploring the lifestyle. A few who will take 5 minutes out of their day to organize a nice message of interest.
Overall we like the site, its results and its efforts. We understand the cultural differences and work within those limitations. And we say thank you to the community, its staff and its members.
