The age barrier looms large!

Age is but a number, right?? at least that's what i hear...

Personally i think it all comes down to taste. Some women are attracted you yournger man while others prefer more mature males. Though i have to say i do have boundries that i would stick within as i don't have much in common with youngsters and i find man who have reached a certain age can sometimes be too stuck in their ways, i speak on experience on men of a certain age as my soon to be Ex husband was considerably older than I. He was ridiculously stuck back in the caveman era lol. So i now tend to now find that i'm attracted to males in the forty to mid fifties age range. But that's just me, others i'm sure will have differing opinions and thoughts on the subject.

as a man of a certain age i can safely say that im not stuck in a certain timestyletype? i find i am more adventurous in sexual adventures than when as a younger man or society would allow.i am now far more open minded and hopefully more understanding of what a ladies needs would be

After a 4 year relationship with a girl 28 years younger than me I know youth is definitely wasted on the young. It wasn't an ego thing it was all about the good sex. It's not about the numbers, it's about the people. It's no good sitting on the couch drinking another beer and stuffing down more crisps wishing you were young again and had a tasty bird on your arm. Keep yourself fit and in shape and they will want to experience wisdom after wham bam thank you mam with the young guy. Don't forget the older man has the knowledge and experience to pace himself, if he chooses to use it. Satisfy her needs first and she'll be back for more.

As a lover of older men (my husband is 10 yrs older then me) I would definitely say it's a case of using all available digits, imagination and enthusiasm! Also not that I want tom Cruise, but a reasonable amount of body care is neeed once a certain age is reached :)

I've been surprised by the interest that has followed what I wrote. Perhaps the question that occupies my thoughts is how and where does a gentleman of my age and location find a suitable woman without registering on sites which, quite frankly, yield next to no results?

"I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once, as I ever was".

There's a lot of truth in that.

Also, I'd offer something else on that too.
That "once" might be a few hours...

I reckon that compares pretty well with a young stud's 10 minute thrash that leaves her wanting more...

One good, thorough, complete session is more likely to leave her content, not just 'fucked;.
That would be the plan anyway. Lol.

I'll try and be as objective as I can, and not launch into some spiel aimed at trying to convince women (or even myself) that middle-aged blokes like me are still bristling with machismo and just as attractive to women as young ones: because they're not - as Curvy points out. If you ask a UK woman in her 40s whether she'd prefer shagging a 30-yr-old to a 55-yr-old man, guess what the answer will be in 90% of cases :-)

So instead, all I'm saying here is that over the last ten years, I've invariably found that "someone will turn up", and they've all been within the 26-45-yr age range. This is my experience, and is simply a fact, which continues to baffle me as I'm my own worst self-critic. If this can be of any comfort to the mature males here, then great.

Incidentally, at this juncture I should perhaps refer readers to my blog about "Intimations of retirement". It didn't do well at the time because I think it touched a raw nerve with some men here, but it is an issue that we all have to face sooner or later.

Ladies prerogative i think to choose whether to put limits on their choices, though i imagine you males have a prefered age range as well so it's not only a female thing :- I don't have anything about age range on my profile but i do have a range, but that in general is a personal thing. Not to say that if someone caught my attention that i wouldn't make exception for the right person that is.x

Louise i would never 'Fake' it gives the person a flase impression that they are a good lover even when that may not be the case. Communication is the name of the game, why should 'he' have all the fun. I Could go to the supermarket if all i wanted was a whole lot of pushing and shoving and end up coming out with nothing at the end lol.x

Sanshain: Yes I do have a preferred age range for women, but that is based simply on my experience of how well "preserved" prospective partners are within those boundaries. However, as we all know, certain individuals are far better preserved "for age" than others, so on that basis I'm certainly flexible. I'm totally philosophical about applying the same standard to myself in a reverse situation, and fully realize that many 20-30-somethings would find me repulsive :-)

I'd willingly shag a 70-yr-old if she was exceptional, but somehow I think the chances of finding such an individual would be a tad remote :-)

For lots of good reasons, I find I'm more attracted to guys older than myself, but if we're talking about numbers, I'm more likely to discriminate on willy size than age. Hahaha ;)

Apparently it's all down to the length of the telomeres on our chromosomes. If you are born with long telomeres, then you've won first prize in the lottery of life.

So if you want to stick to the "pickling" analogy, I guess it's the quality of the vinegar that counts :-)
