A question to those of you on the other side of my iPad screen, what is your opinion on the 50 shades... series? Is it the literary epitome of female erotica?
My question stems from my wife's feedback on the novel. For starters, I will mention that my wife is a devourer of books. In addition to being beautiful, adventurous, witty and also the perfect amount of naughty, she is also very well read. And, According to her, the book was disturbing. She didn't find it sexy or erotic, she found it demeaning, which is a powerful statement considering my wife does appreciate and enjoy porn (especially so if it has a story-line).
On the flip side, I have heard from some "vanilla" friends of ours that the book is amazing and can fire a girl up faster than tequila shots at a Michael buble concert. So I am curious to know what the rest of the swinging world thinks.

My book club read it one month as one member found it highly erotic and loved the entire series. I made it to the first sex scene and just couldn't get any further. |
