This time of year we pay tribute to our forefathers.
Remembering these brave men and women.
They sought freedom from tyranny, freedom of religion and overbearing tax burdens. They went blindly forward with conviction, perseverance in faith to find and make a new life and friendships. Regardless of race, creed or ethnicity they relied upon one another the sought out friends. If only today we could have the conviction and innocence they set out with. The natives helped the foreigners and taught them how to plant, survive and the foreigners traded it was a time of curiosity, friendship, neighbor helping neighbor. That's how it all got started. Then human nature got in the way, became fearful, jealous, power hungry, misunderstood - not unlike Adam & Eve. They pushed forward, made treaties, broke trusts over and over as evil crept in. We are all brothers and sisters and came from the same place , the same way... we don't have the conviction they all started out with in this great nation. I hope that you like me can find that same willingness to honor them all this day we set aside. A day to honor and remember their sacrifice then and attempt to do the same in your life, neighborhood, city, state and government. Happy Thanksgiving!
