We Were Dancing And Swaying To The Music

This is a story about a very pretty lady I used to know.
How I miss her today and so wish that she was back in my life.
Always take hold and enjoy what is going on in your life today, because tomorrow, it could all change.

It was late at night and we're all alone. We had just the music on the radio. There was no one coming, and no one was going to telephone. It was just me and her.

The lights were down low and we're slow dancing. We were swaying to the music.
We were slow dancing, just me and my girl.

We just flow together when the lights are low. Shadows dancing all across the wall.
The music's playing so soft and slow. The rest of the world is so far away and small.

As we dance together in the dark, there is so much love in this heart of mine.
She whispered to me, hold me tight, you're the one I thought I'd never find.

I never knew that one day that I would not see her again in this lifetime.
Most days I just try to remember the good times we had and not think about how much I miss her. I know where she is and one day I will see her again.
If you ever want to know about a real true love, it was the one we had.
Not a day goes by that I do not think about her, and never a day that I do not pray to talk to her.
Yes, it is sad that she is not here, but she is so happy and she is safe where she is. This world is no longer such a safe place so it makes me happy to know that nothing can ever harm her again.
You know I never did meet anyone else.
I never really wanted to.
I met a lot of pretty ladies and we went out to have fun

but that was all there ever was to it.
I guess maybe it has been a good 47 years now since she left.
Sometimes it seems like yesterday.
Today I am very close to God and he helps me through the tough times. He still has work for me to do here before I can go to be with her. It seems like it is taking forever, but really, it's only the blink of an eye.
I best be moving on now, and get back to taking care of things.
This was told to you so each of you would cherish each day we have here and love those in our lives.
It will never stay the same, and each day will bring something new into your life.

Prepare not for what happens here, prepare now for where you will soon be.
Life here is something we do as a test.
It shows where your heart truly is.
Do you have a good heart, do you love your brothers and sisters here?
Do you forgive as God always does?
Do you tell God everyday that you love Him.
I do, every day I make sure to tell God thank you for all you have done for me in this life, and please know God, that I truly love You the most.
