It has been an education

10:40 am Saturday, 21st September, 2013

I am a firm believer in the notion of 'lifelong learning' and the pursuit of knowledge. However, up until recently, my drive for learning has had a professional rather than a personal focus (stretch and yawn). A major flaw in my work life balance? Hell yes!

I am now pleased to say that over the past month or so my work life balance has much improved; I spend so much time on the site and people watching from afar*, I don't have much time for work. I wouldn't say that I've lead a sheltered life, but I didn't realise just how much I would learn about myself and all things considered taboo or not for polite conversation.

It really has been an education ...

Have you learned anything from being a member here?

*By the way, I'm not advocating the internet as a healthy alternative to 'real' people watching, but it can be just as much fun and as far as I am aware, you can't get arrested for it ... mwhahahah.

In the blogosphere, no one can see you blush.

11:18 am Saturday, 21st September, 2013

I get it! I've been an academic student far too long, focusing on studies and gathering knowledge that may or may not be useful to me at any point in the foreseeable future.

People--I haven't always done so well. This place sure has been a learning experience! Though from being here my standards of what's normal behavior have shifted for sure to the "fun" side.

11:37 am Saturday, 21st September, 2013

Dickyjim, What have I learned? The list is long ...

Bukakke isn't a type of Asian octopus;
Some men like to shag bicycles;
safety goggles are the latest fashion accessory;
it's ok to admit to listening to Gershwin without fear of ridicule from your peers (well, almost);
I still find guys who make me laugh very sexy.

How's that for a starter for ten?

What about you?

11:43 am Saturday, 21st September, 2013

Oh, how could I forget ...

I now know what a Fleshlight is. It was the cause of many a sleepless night ;-)

11:47 am Saturday, 21st September, 2013

Why? Is there a glow in the dark version?

12:52 pm Saturday, 21st September, 2013

Pepe--are you by any chance trying to get the idea across that you don't have one????

1:46 pm Saturday, 21st September, 2013

Does any man admit to having one???? Methinks thou dost protest too much.

4:14 pm Saturday, 21st September, 2013

I'll also admit to not really understanding the difference between CDTV or even heard of TGirl until Annii's blog.

@Ronald, maybe one day I'll be as clever as I pretend I am. ... ;-)

@DrPepe, "... not only do I not have one I've never seen one."
So was that your twin in the chatroom on public cam with his fleshlight?

10:12 am Monday, 23rd September, 2013

Much as I love your blogs Luv2, I find myself wondering whether and when you will be ready to move beyond virtual to physical experimentation and learning ;)

1:12 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

FOM, ah, now that would be telling.

Perhaps I already have ...

1:15 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

Anyway FOM, you forgot to say what, if anything, this site has taught you.

1:40 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

An education indeed, how stupid did I look with my cash card in my hand when asked if I was into ATM!!!

I just thought she was American, I did LOL when I had it explained to me.

1:42 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

Is a TV not an old style television and a CD one of those new flat screens then?

1:47 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

Gerry, I hold my hands up on that one; I have no idea.

Association of maths teachers?
Atmospheric unit of pressure?
Cash machine?

I'm guessing none of the above and I still have a lot to learn ;-)

2:03 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

Trust me you don't want to know!

7:31 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

Hang my head in shame ... I get it.
Jonnealas had a blog on the subject not so long ago. I'm not even going to ask what your reply was eeeeew ;-(

8:32 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

ASL

Apparently it means Age Sex Location? and I have had it as an opening gambit a few times.

I have wised up now and reply RMFP

Read my fecking profile.

As for T Girls in my very very early days I was a teensy bit smitten by the prospect of a meet with a lady (her profile said fem). It wasnt until we started to correspond on m s mn that the penny dropped, for she was in fact TSally.

But I have learned loads and loads being here.

The most important thing i have learned though is that few people find swarfega as sexy as I do....

8:53 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

FA, "I have learned the value of humility."
One can live in hope :-)

Wildc, I know ... Gross! Why oh why?

Rigger, I really like RMFP. From now on this will be my favoured response to messages from knobs. Eau d'swarfega ... Really?

9:30 pm Monday, 23rd September, 2013

In response to Luv2's much earlier comment this site has taught me:
to log on more often otherwise I lose the thread of the conversations.
that everyone woman is different, with a charming array of turn-ons, turn-offs, and whimsies.
that I am NEVER going to get close to Luv2 no matter how hard I try
Hugs :)

6:27 am Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

FOM, sorry I missed your comment.
I like playing hard to get ;-)
You are right in what you say, all women are different. We are rare, beautiful and complex creatures, put on this earth to make men crazy (apparently).

I believe Waterstones Bookstore are now stocking 'Understanding Women for Dummies' - at £15.99 it's a bargain.

Xx

rigger, I love the RMFP response, I think all over 40's should adopt this response, play the youngster with their text speak at their own game.

Luv2 what it needs is for Haynes to do a manual, more guy's would read it. Full of useful tips like how to put the toilet seat down, how to aim when taking a leak, what a washing machine does and what it looks like, how to unfasten a bra, you get the idea useful tips and information.

7:25 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

Talking of learning something new each day - I saw a sign outside a shop in Stockport today that said "Ear Wax Removed Here". I have no idea why that appealed to me so much.

Do you think it works as a play on words?

7:26 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

shop in stock...port today...

7:39 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

Bishop of Bath and Wells: "You see Blackadder, I am a colossal pervert... Animal, vegetable or mineral, I'll do anything to anything."
Blackadder: "Fine words for a Bishop. It's good to hear the church speaking out on social issues."

7:52 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

@Gerry, Not too convinced that a Haynes Manual would be a popular choice. As far as I can tell, there are lots of guys around here who are already quite skilled at 'Do It Yourself'. Present company excluded, I'm sure :-)

7:56 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

Rigger: Ear wax? Sorry, I'm just slow; I don't get it.

Shymike: Quite a few hairy apes around banging fists on their chests ... that explains it.

Drew: You watch far too much TV. Read a book young man or you'll have square eyes when you're older.

8:03 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

Luv2: Eidetic memory. Can't help it. Xboofx's fault anyway for mentioning fucking anything.

8:06 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

Xboof - I have heard lots of similar tales such as yours. Someone in an earlier blog called it 'mental masturbation'. Not too sure what the answer is to that one. Perhaps an Ebay style rating system where you can give a low score for poor service (joking - I know that would never work).

I'm doing hard time in the blogs so rarely get parole to visit the chatroom. It would seem there are fewer fantasists in here although I suspect many more than you would imagine. Perhaps I'm just cynical.

9:02 pm Wednesday, 25th September, 2013

"boof ya twat"
Is that a new sex position?

:-)

7:45 am Thursday, 26th September, 2013

Ear Wax Removed - Hear.....

Geddit?

Lost on stockport though I think

7:46 am Thursday, 26th September, 2013

Also I love the idea of the verb "to boof...."

4:21 pm Thursday, 26th September, 2013

I think they're adding it to the next edition of the oxford English dictionary "Boofing" for the definition there will just be a few pics from your profile Boof, a picture speaks a thousand words!
