What We Need The Most

6:31 am Friday, 10th June, 2022

We teach best what we ourselves need most to learn.

I would like to use this phrase with BDSM as an example. Both Dom and Sub teach the other. The Dom teaches the Sub about willpower, self-restraint and confidence.

The Dom controls the Sub and gives them strength to overcome boundaries. They reward bravery in overcoming limits and provides a motivation to show self-restraint, to follow rules and boosts confidence with aftercare. The Sub feels pleased for serving their master, knowing they can do something right and feeling like they've earned their Dom's affection. The Dom teaches willpower by being stern and being that voice of reason, by giving that command and forcing the Sub to obey when the Sub wouldn't initially want to without having their mind opened. It teaches willpower - yes - you can do what is asked of you.

The Sub teaches the Dom about trust, leadership and bravery. They teach the Dom about trust by listening to the Dom, putting their trust in their commands. The Dom can not trust like the Sub does, they cannot follow the will of others, they do not trust others to lead them which is why they lead...but the Sub shows the Dom that trust can exist and not be broken. They trust the Dom not to breach that trust when the safe word is spoken.

The Sub teaches the Dom how to lead with their hard and soft limits and encourages the Dom to carefully and delicately dance through the Subs headspace. The Sub teaches the Dom bravery by listening to them, their confidence wavering when breaking limitations and hang-ups.

It's a beautiful melody that plays over and over like a music box, delicate and sweet.

We teach best what we ourselves need most to learn.

The Sub teaches willpower and restraint. Listening to the Dom's command, showing perfection in obeying.

The Dom teaches trust by stopping when the Sub gives the sign, teaching the Sub that they will never break that trust.

We teach best what we ourselves need most to learn.

Very kind and truly world and that the way Dom and Sub work on the sex life. One complement other. With out break the trust.

I think this is a good perspective. However most Dom's do not know how to actually stay keep their sweet little Sub safe. They do not care because they do not understand. They think being just physically abusing the Sub is what a Dom is. That is the opposite of what a Dom is.
