I lay her down on her left side on the soft carpet and draw a fleece blanket over her. Kneeling behind, I raise the blanket, sliding in to curl up behind her. She raises her head to allow my left arm to cradle it gently while my right arm lies across her stomach, my fingers tickling her left thigh.
