As a Dom or as a sub that is in the mode of seeking out a new relationship, we ask that question a lot. It’s quite the conundrum, especially these days after what the global pandemic has done to everyone’s psyche. There’s an almost “global psychosis” that has affected all of us, causing people to be withdrawn more than they would have been under normal circumstances. The wearing of masks, not by choice, has damaged our humanity in ways that are predictable. Not being able to see facial expressions, and smiles has damaged us. Human souls are fed by human contact, yet the pandemic has kept us isolated at times.Things are slowly coming back into balance, are far as the pandemic is concerned, people are generally putting away the masks and starting to congregate or meet in person again. But the damage the last two years has caused is nowhere near healed as of yet. So how to “find the right one” as a question is a strain to answer. The key to dealing with it, is to open up a bit more, be willing to put yourself out there a bit more, show your humanity and kinder traits a bit more, communicate a bit more, initiate contact a bit more. Notice I said “a bit more” several times. If we all collectively kicked those things up a notch, human interactions could start to be more like they were before. Finding what you’re seeking in a partner would become easier. Hell, everyday life would improve. Try it. Human beings were made to communicate with one another, we need to always be mindful of that when seeking “the right one”.
