His mouth immediately turns into a smile, eyes widening with cute smile lines appearing on their edge as he finds you.
Excitement wells higher in you and you hope he hasn’t noticed the slight movement in your legs as you try to catch that excitement. All the same, you try to gauge that look, that expression; you hope you look as genuine as he does.
“Hi!” he exclaims as he reaches you.
You can see he’s eager to reach out and touch you, hold you, come close to you, but he doesn’t.
He’s thinking about you, your situation.
You’ve dealt with that.
He’s a few inches taller than you but you reach up, placing both arms around his shoulders, slightly tiptoeing to reach his mouth. You kiss him full on his lips. He responds immediately, placing an arm around the lower of your back, pulling himself into you, pressing firmly against your navel. You both release a quiet “Oh”.
As his other hand cradles your head, you know it’s time to pull away.
He looks at you, staring straight into your eyes. You can tell from the flickering of his eyes, he’s struggling to take the whole of you in as he looks at each eye, your nose, back to your eyes, always your eyes.
A warm, natural smile reaches those blue eyes.
“Hungry?” he asks.
