Experience of "Transformations" in London

Hi,

When I was on my own I could happily order my frillies on ebay and have them delivered. Now I'm living with my lovely girlfriend I daren't risk that, so it looks as though I'll have to go somewhere like transformations or Doreens. Has anybody any experience of shopping there?
Thanks

Re: Experience of "Transformations" in London

I went to Transformation in London once, and also when they were in Bristol. The main trouble is that they are expensive ... very expensive. I've not used Doreens but from what I've seen, they're much the same on price.
Another trouble with shopping from "Specialist TV Suppliers" is that the items for sale all seem to be what I would regard as "A guy's idea of what is sexy"; bedroom trashy which is my idea of tarty. While that might be OK for some people, it's not for me.
Why not shop at somewhere like Debenhams or M&S. Many of the larger High Street stores have active equality policies and as long as you don't attract attention to yourself you shouldn't have too many difficulties.

Hugs, Bev.

Re: Experience of "Transformations" in London

Thanks, Bev, that's very helpful and rather as I suspected. I do shop at M&S (the big one at Marble Arch in London) and, while they have very pretty and feminine knickers and bras to suit me, they don't seem to have items like suspender belts (and certainly not shoes in my size!).
