I'm any easy going guy, but the one thing that really winds me up is if someone I'm (trying) to communicate with just reads my messages and does not reply. This is especially the case when the person in question has actually initiated the conversation by contacting you and asked to chat, only to then go silent on you. I'm sorry, but that is simply bad manners.
If you are not interested, this site has a series of convenient buttons to "one-click" your response. And I speak for most men in saying that a quick "coup de grace" is preferable to the slow death of being ignored. Of course, every women has the right to change her mind - several times - but I'd rather be told that you're no longer interested than just being ignored. And should I get abusive - which is just as heinous a crime in my book - there's a blacklist button and ultimately you can report me to admin.
So please, if you initiate a conversation but don't want to continue it - tell me. And I will bow out with good grace. In the meantime, I now have a self-imposed "three strikes and your out" rule. If you read but don't respond to 3 of my messages, then I send a final PM telling you that I'm going to stop sending messages until you respond - and do it. You're always welcome to come back to me but you have to re-initiate the conversation. Still a tremendous waste of time - but therein lies inner peace - well, at least for me!
