I'm in two minds about the recent 'sex' 'outrages' with the royals. I think with Kate the issue is that the public still want to see and are prepared to pay to see salacious photos of celebrities. I'm sure those people and the press are living in the nineteenth century! I think Kate should be able to sunbathe topless if she wants to. I think she should also have the choice of whether she does that in public or in private, and that privacy should be respected by all. Same with Harry. Royals can have sex, and can have fun having sex. And the same elements of privacy should be in place.
However, there is something about royalty that I think has to maintain some Majesty - whatever that is these days. They are public servants and their wealth is largely ill gotten in centuries past, and their life style is maintained by the public purse.
I hope these scandals pushes the attitudes on a little bit, of both the Royals, the press and us the buying public.
