You want opinions .... on careers advice?

OK ....

In my view, you shouldn't worry too much about where you start in the job market, so long as you start somewhere. Whether you're fresh out of school, college or university, I think the prospect of finding your dream job (or any job) can be exciting and terrifying in equal measure. However, you can find yourself in a bit of a pickle if you haven't quite figured out what you want to do for the rest of your working life, let alone find a job.

What you need to do: While time to do your own thing is great for watching tv, playing computer games or, erm ... bending over a keyboard on a sex site looking at pics of nice girlies, you should use your time more wisely and gain some invaluable work experience. As much of it as possible - and get this, it's usually as an unpaid volunteer! This will give you some exposure to your preferred industry and the work environment

More importantly, not only does this show enthusiasm and commitment to a potential employer, but it also gives you the chance to test the water and see if the reality of a particular job lives up to your expectations. It's also a way of making contacts and could even make you stand out from the crow and lead to your first job. Believe you me, in today's climate with fierce competition for jobs, some employers will look for work experience as standard.

Don't be disheartened if it doesn't happen straight away.

My opinion is be careful what you wish you for because what you expect to receive will probably not be what you materialises...... Unless you're after careers advice & then it's bloody fantastic!
