How do youidentify fake profiles?

There are obviously a lot of fake profiles on here, some are very obvious. What do others on here sift out the honest from the fake?

Talk talk talk. The real ones can't keep up.

We've talked about this before and I attempted to write a cheeky blog about it last month but it got censored.

For some reason, an apparently endless succession of fake profiles keep appearing on the site. Their origin is a matter of conjecture, and although I have reported them, similar ones with the same genre crop up relentlessly on my Wall.

As you say, SG, the profile name is often (but not always) written in a mixture of upper and lower case, the profile owner purports to be a female 20-something (usually 22 :-), they are always Classic (i.e. non-payers), there are never any photos, there are usually a couple of lines of bland text ("I like fishing and eating sausages") and the bottom 23 of the profile data are never filled in. What's more, they invariably claim to be living in some remote village in the middle of nowhere (quite often rural Durham, Cumbria or Derbyshire).

If you see a profile that answers to this description, you can be pretty sure it's bogus. But the question is: why are they here? Answers on a postcard, please :-)

How come this blogs not been deleted yet?

T&P: Well if that's the case, it's a misguided aim because there can't be many guys who would be dumb enough to swallow it, and of course it's counter-productive if members go chasing their tail trying to talk to a "bot" :-)

......unless some men enjoy viewing such profiles to burn time: you know - a bit like watching daytime TV or adverts :-)

.....by the way, as I speak.......another one has appeared on my Wall: one of those 22-yr-olds living in Long Marton, Cumbria. This particular village has been really churning them out lately :-)
