It may have been for just a few months, but I can say to anyone's face that I've matured due to my experiences abroad. It was my first time ever being away from my family and loved ones but in this voyage I learned a lot. I worked in a cargo vessel assisting the cook with galley(kitchen) responsibilities. I learned how to cook, got used to cleaning the officer's cabin, and... treating my MOP as my best friend LOL! I know that before I embarked on this voyage, I will be leaving the comforts of home; just wake up every morning and breakfast is already served, while on board I prepare for these myself. Every time I get the chance to contact my loved ones via Skype, I laugh a bit and suddenly cries until or vessel embarks on another voyage(a REAL GUY KNOWS WHEN TO SHED HIS TEARS). I also learned how to save MONEY! hard earned money is really hard to spend and I learned that the hard way.. Oh well vacation time for me, so I'll be staying here on land for quite a while. :)
