Trainspotting in the late 50s

I noticed in a trainspotting magszine that was looking for railway enthusiasts to join their club.
The club organised weekly visits to railway sheds and works for Sunday visits.
I joined this club paid my fees has a Junior member...
My first trip was to Crewe sheds meting at London Road station at 9-30 am (now Piccadilly) A elderly man came up to me an Introduced himself asking me for my name. And membership card.
In return he gave me my train ticket with the number of my seat..
Taking my seat I was lucky to have a window seat.
There was only one other passenger who was sat opposite to me in the compartment, he was a gent in his late 50s.
Has the train pulled away from the station it did not take long to strike up a conversation. We was both on the same trip, I told him it was my first trip we had plenty in common we lived near to each other. He noticed I had a Brownie 125 camaras. He had a Minolta camara in which he took pleasure in showing me. We spent the full day together, chatting away and getting to more about each other. I enjoyed the day and appreciated his company.

On the return journey to Manchester we had a compartment on our own, he asked do you mind if I sit next to you. No I replied I have enjoyed your company. He edged up close to me placing his hand on the inside of my thigh waiting to see what my reaction would be. He smiled has my leg moved closer to his.
