With my wife and mother dying last year and with two of my three daughters finished with college and starting out on their own lives in the last couple of years and the baby (22 yrs old)at a University in Australia, I guess I am really suffering badly from the empty nest syndrome. Going from having a house full of all the loud and crazy teenagers in town to being completely alone has been quite change for me. I miss the every day interaction and responsibility (or just feeling needed by the children for rides, homework help, going to games etc.) .I think I would like to get involved with another loving family, not that we do not have a loving relationship, we are just spread all over the Eastern seaboard and get together on Holidays and birthdays etc.
I just want to be able to live a humble and good life, trying to help out anyone I can along the way. As far I am concerned if everyone would live by the basic precept "Of treat your neighbor as you would have your neighbor treat you" the world would be much better place and their would be no need for the other commandments having to do with man's treatment of man.
I beleive that if both people are willing to work at it most people could get through the tough times. They both have to realize that even though a relationship should be 5050 sometimes the pendelum swings 8020 or then 2080 and that is the time of the true test of the strength of the relationship
