This caused men to have to traleve and roam all over to find work. California was the perfect place for settlers because of all the things the land provided them with that they needed in their everyday life. The opportunity to work and the goal rush was the real reason people relocated to California. In the story “Of Mice And Men” George told the boss they had come from weed seeking work. The boss did not trust George, and asked him why they “quit the job in weed.” “Job was done, said george promptly.” This was a common task people dealt with on a rugular bases in those days.
