John S Hofman JSH is an independent artist out of Splfd, Il . John has played & loved music since the early age of 7 yrs. old. At that time John took 3 lessons & quit. Around 5 yrs later a friend of his had a brother who played & sold John a guitar & began to teach him. His love for the guitar & for good music has never left him.
During his teens & his 20's John played in various local heavy metal bands. The last one being Misspent Youth. After entering drug rehab & completing 30 days in the hole, John performed one last gig & has never performed with another band since.
After falling back into heavy drug addiction, John prayed one day while strung out on crack & he says he prayed & told the Lord, " If I could play again I will lay down my pipe & play for you with all my heart. Please help me ! A month later his best friend approached him & said , " Do you think if I was to buy you a guitar & you started playing again ( John hadn’t played or owned a guitar for 7 yrs ) you could stop smoking that crack "
Since that time 3 yrs ago John has put together a modest home studio & recorded 3 of his own cd's. The first, Worlds Without Number , followed by his most defining cd, Celestrial Traveler. John said that Celestrial Traveler is truly the Heart & Soul of JSH , being expressed thru his music. John has tried to relate thru his music that our life, our birth & death & everything in between has purpose & great meaning & each person needs to discover that purpose for themselves, knowing that when you do , you will never be the same .
