I love music, especially that of Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Bruch, Mozart, Grieg, Chopin, Saint-Saëns, Liszt, Puccini (arias), et al. My most enjoyable activity is not only listening to this music, but also, actively participating by following the music in the conductor’s score. It takes more concentration than I am willing to muster for almost anything else.
However, I do enjoy a few other activities, such as swimming, ping-pong (table tennis), fishing (the fish have nothing to fear from me!), and (occasionally) metal-detecting. Having a B.Sc. degree in marine biology, I still love science and try to read one or two science magazines a month.
