I'm a trans woman and am mid-way through a lengthy and expensive gender transition, which currently has me battling^ with electrolysis (^by which I mean begrudgingly enduring) and a little over year on hormones. I've lived in Asia (mostly ChinaHK) for the last four years, initially as a student and more recently working full-time teaching History and academic writing to teenagers and young adults.
I love learning about cultural and social history and anthropology, especially in relation to LGBTQI experiences and the pathologisation of various identities and behaviours. I've spent a lot of time in the Hong Kong and London scenes and used to get tied up all over the place. I'm also a gamer (Dark Souls, Skyrim, and MMOs) and my favourite music is released by Ultimae Records.
