Howdy,
First off just want to say I hope y'all are having a fine day! My name is Ian, I'm 32 and I've been living in Spain the past 2 years but with work it's difficult to find new friends so that brings me here in the hope of finding interesting people to share some entertaining times and chats with!
Ah, now I guess I'm at the bit where I need to talk about me. . . well, I work in Gibraltar as an Analyst & Programmer (or "An*l-Rammer" as my horrifically short-sighted business card says! ). 'Tis fun work where I get to be creative and always a nice bit of variety to spice up life.
In my spare time I play Bass (have an acoustic, fretless and double to suit any musical tastes. . . if you don't mind the odd fluffed note here or there) and I am learning the Banjo (the music store said I wasn't cool enough to get a guitar).
After 2 years, the guilt of not knowing any Spanish has gotten to me so I have plans to dive into that more. I love a good hike through this beautiful country and enjoy a cycle along the beach and when it all gets a bit too hot for this fair skinned chap I can take a dip in the sea.
Bit of a geek - have a degree in Mathematics and am a sucker for a good mathematical puzzle! But at the same time I yearn to go to new gigs (especially rock, funk and jazz - I miss Ronnie Scott's in London) and meet new people in a rockin' environment.
Also, I'm a bit of an adventurer - Andalusia and the surrounding area is just filled with all sorts of natural beauty and it'd be a shame not to explore it all.
I'm new to all this so forgive me if it's a bit light but will update with more details which are more worthy but in the meantime, thanks for checking me out and look forward to chatting to some really interesting, humorous or just plain weird people!
