The polar opposites of Yin and Yang, female and male or positive and negative, are essential to maintaining the physical world. For example, both an anode and a cathode are necessary to create a flow of energy, such as thr electrical current in a circuit. Tantra seeks to balance and reconcile the duality of these opposites, particularly the spiritual or energy realms with the physicality of the material world. Neither is good nor bad, both are necessary to our existence in this plane. Tantric sex integrates our energy bodies and chakras (energy centers) with our physical body which takes the sexual experience to a higher level that is magnitudes more pleasurable than ordinary sex which is limited to physical sensation alone.
