Trying to Explain my Craving for Touch
I want to be touched. I want skin on skin contact, so much that the fine hair on my arms reach for you while I pretend to look away. It’s not sexual in the sense of wanting actual sex, but sensual as in needing to feel connected to someone so I do not become lost in myself. Attempting to explain this has gone badly for me, in the past. Resulting in confusion or shame - on both parts - or even Sex, that - though satisfying - ended without the comfort that I did not know I was seeking. Does anyone else not just want to hold or be held? So much weight and expectation seems to come with every touch. Like it’s always a promise of more. Why can’t the feeling in the wake of a touch just be gratitude for that moment of time where there was lack of space between us, instead of resentment for the fact that we had to part? Someday, maybe, someone will understand.
