Being social and sexual in 2021

Quick background, I am a single man in my mid 40's. I got divorced 6 years ago and really having tried to date. Due to the nature of my divorce, I view women with a great deal of distrust. I hope to find a woman to change my mind. I do have a strong personality that is a result of being taken advantage of for 20+ years. I am looking for advise or different points of view.
